Collision Repair
Northeast Collision: Collision Repair
If you have been in a car accident, the last thing you want to worry about is whether the collision repair shop that you choose will repair your car to pre-accident condition. That is why it is important to look at a number of factors when choosing your collision repair shop.
Is the shop certified? Certifications basically mean that a shop meets the standards set by the certifying body. Sometimes shops are certified, while other times they hire certified technicians, but you can and should ask about certifications and do some research about what those certifications mean.
Does the shop communicate with its customers? Having a car in for repairs can create a tremendous amount of uncertainty, especially if the car has components that are difficult to locate, which can make a repair take an extended period of time. Knowing that the shop will communicate with you to let you know what repairs are necessary, how much they will cost, and estimated completion time is important, but it is even more important to know that they will give you updates when necessary.
Do they guarantee their repairs? Repairing damage from auto wrecks can be difficult and sometimes problems with the repair do not appear immediately. Does the shop guarantee body work, and, if so, how long is their guarantee?
At Northeast Collision, we have been providing quality repairs for our customers since 1974, when we started out as Frank’s Auto Repair. We have offered consistent-high quality repairs for satisfied customers for generations and have the same commitment to our newer customers.
There are several factors that are critical in getting a car restored to pre-accident conditions and determining the quality of a collision repair shop is something you can begin to do before the work begins. At Northeast Collision, we will explain what repairs are necessary, breakdown the cost of those repairs, and give you a timeline for the repairs. You should have a thorough understanding of what will be involved in your repair before it ever begins, how long the repair will take, and the cost of the repair. If insurance is covering all or part of the repair costs, we will also help you understand what costs are covered by insurance and what costs are not covered, so that you know how much the repair will cost you, both in total and out-of-pocket.
Another thing most people consider is whether the collision center is approved by their insurance company. At Northeast Collision, we are proud to work with all insurance companies, which can simplify the repair process for you.
We provide a lifetime warranty on any structural repairs and all of our paintwork. We use a PPG waterborne paint system that uses computerized paint matching and a downdraft heated spray booth, which makes sure that your paint matches your factory paint job and has a professional paint finish.
We work with all insurance companies, we complete a free 31-point inspection on all vehicles to advise customers of potential problems and keep your vehicle running smoothly, and we clean and vacuum all vehicles before returning them to you. We also work directly with a rental car company to help you get a rental car, easing the transition while your car is in the shop. We know no one wants to have collision repairs, so we try to make the process as pleasant as it can be!
